this (mini) shrine was mostly made for practice, but also just because i really love chocolate and i have fond memorys of it aswell as learning the history, kinda emmbarasing but meeh who cares yk?
chocolate was created a whopping 4,000 years ago, in ancient meso-america! This shrine however, is more so focused on the modern day chocolate bar, which was made in the 19th century by joseph fry. Fry made the first ever chocolate bars by mixing sugar, chocolate liquor, and cocoa butter. in 1876 however, daniel peter had a bright idea to put milk powder into chocolate, which then created milked chocolate bars. Several years later tho, daniel and henri nestle worked together to bring milk chocolate bars into the markets! In 1879, rudolf lindt created the chocolate conch machine, which was used to aerate chocolate giving it the smooth and creamy texture we love today :3
In the modern time we’ve created so many different types and flavors of chocolate, from small little m&ms to yummy toblerone bars! Im sure that by 3068 we’ll have robo-bars heheh ;p
Personally i dont actually like eating chocolate that much, but even the biggest chocolate hater has atleast one favorite!
To get started, my absolute favorite chocolate bar is 3 musketeers….maybe an unpopular choice but its one that i luv ehhehehe. I really enjoy the yummy marshmellowy filling inside of it and i love how rich it is :) definitely a great chocolate bar in my opinion. Another chocolate bar i enjoyed especially as a young kiddo, was kit kat bars! I really liked the wafers and then the weird cinnamon sugar stuff that was inside of it, so yummy! I remember as a kid i would also try and melt all the chocolate off and then have just wafers left over (っ˘ڡ˘ς)
